Dinesh (Dan) S. Rama has had a career in the hospitality industry as a hotel operator and owner, which began in 1994 after completing his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Arizona, additionally he has General Manager Certifications from Holiday Inns, Motel 6 and Days Inns. Further, Mr. Rama is a franchisee of RedBrick Pizza, Holiday Inn, Ramada Inn, and Comfort Suites. Between 2000 through 2007, Mr. Rama was under the guidance of Robert Fitzgerald, former Chief Operating Officer of Best Western International and Sam Apostle, former President of Ramada Hotels in advising clients on acquiring and divesting hospitality assets throughout the United States. Throughout Mr. Rama’s career, he has been involved with over $300 Million of hospitality assets. He has brokered and advised clients on acquiring, merging, and divesting of hospitality assets throughout the United States. Mr. Rama also is a licensed Arizona Real Estate Broker and a member of the Arizona Board of Realtors. Mr. Rama is the co-founder of newGen Commercial. He is also an ambassador and member of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, and is the former President of the RedBrick Pizza Masters Developers Association and he serves on the Board of the RedBrick Pizza Franchisee Cooperative.

Nelesh (Neal) Patel

Nelesh (Neal) Patel has been an integral part of the hospitality industry as hotel owner and operator for over 25 years with manager’s certification in Hilton, IHG, La Quinta, Best Western and Wyndam hotels. Mr. Patel has built a portfolio of investments which he has developed, constructed, managed and owned. Mr. Patel attended the University of Arizona with majors in Accounting, Finance, & Real Estate. After such time went on to develop various hospitality products through Acquisitions and Construction. Mr. Patel passion has led him to co-founder/managing partner of Ameribuilders Construction in 2002. Mr. Patel joined newgen Commercial as a managing Partner in 2009 to oversee development and construction.

Girish C Patel
Partner, Director of Investor Relations

Girish Patel is a lifelong hotelier from the Midwest whose experience ranges from operating and developing limited service hotels to co-founding his own real estate brokerage firm specializing in the sale of hospitality assets. Since 1982, Girish gained firsthand experience in the hospitality industry through his family’s holdings of over $5MM in hotel assets. Girish began his career in the industry by performing the day-to-day activities as a Staff Member at a 22-unit independent property in Ohio and eventually leveraged his operational experience to become the Vice President of Development of B.C.A Hospitality, constructing over four hundred units of limited service properties over three states and increasing the family’s portfolio to over $30MM in hospitality assets. Before relocating to Phoenix Arizonan to expand his family’s holdings, Girish’s duties at B.C.A. Hospitality ranged from staffing of Management Personnel to Head of Acquisitions and Dispositions. Over the last four years, Girish has transacted on over $20MM of limited-service hotel assets from Virginia to Arizona and has a client database of over 1,600 hotel owners. Girish is an active leader in the industry, and has served on committees and boards of prominent industry organizations such as the Asian American Hotel Owner’s Association, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and the Independent Association of Holiday Inns. Girish also believes strongly in community service and has played vital roles in the formation of organizations such as the Asian Indian American Business Group of Cincinnati, the Indo-Phoenix Symposium, and has most recently created the R.C. Patel Memorial Scholarship for under-sponsored students seeking a career in Hospitality.

Nitin Bhakta
Partner, Director of Construction Management

Before co-founding Ameribuilders Construction in 2002, Nitin Bhakta graduated from the University of New Mexico State with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology/Electrical in 1992. Mr. Bhakta has been a hotel owner and operator for this industry for the past 20 years. Mr. Bhakta’s success in this industry has lead him to pursue construction to bring the business model full circle. Mr. Bhakta leads the construction Division with responsibility in hotel Construction development. Mr. Bhakta joined newGen commercial as a managing partner in 2009 to undertake a full service business firm that would focus on specialty products for our clients. Under this guidance of Nitin, Ameribuilders Construction has been successful in conducting nearly a half a dozen hotel construction projects throughout the southwest.

Kyle Walker

With degrees from Arizona State University in Business, Urban Planning, and Sustainability, Kyle Walker brings valuable expertise to the newGen team in the areas of green building and finance. Kyle’s professional experience includes residential and commercial real estate, contracting services, sustainability/green building, and governmental affairs. Currently pursing certifications as a Sustainable Building Advisor and LEED Green Associate, Kyle is keenly aware of the need to stay up-to-date in the evolving field of green building. A native of Arizona, Mr. Walker is passionate about sustainable communities and education, volunteering a large portion of his time with Green Earth Schools Foundation.

Mike Mali
Hospitality Specialist

An enthusiastic and skilled hospitality property brokerage specialist, Mike Mali has many years of real-estate experience. He initiated his career selling motels in California back in 1977. His hospitality career has included ownership and management experience of limited service properties in the Southwestern United States. Mr. Mali returned to property brokerage in the late 1990s and has enjoyed considerable success matching sellers with qualified buyers.

Following his relocation to Arizona seven years ago, Mr. Mali has been involved in more than 30 transactions, acting on behalf of both buyers and sellers. Given his past operation and ownership experience as well as his degree in accounting, Mr. Mali is able to understand and to ease clients’ financial concerns. He provides add-value service by helping his clients to better understand operations and how to maximize profits. He is also a Loan Officer who works with various banks to uncover the best financing for his clients. Rekha Patel
Vice-President of Asset Operations

Rekha Patel started her passion and dreams for the hotel industry 18 years ago. Mrs. Patel started her road by being involved in the hotel family business at a very young age of 15. Mrs. Patel wanted to continue in the hospitality industry, but needed the proper tools and knowledge for success. Mrs. Patel attended Eastern New Mexico University in 1991 where she majored in Accounting/Business Management. After completion, Mrs. Patel gained real world experience and started working her way up the ladder for various franchised and resort hotels. Mrs. Patel started her own business in 1998, after gathering the proper tools for success. Mrs. Patel is the Co-founder/Managing Partner of Power Players Partnership Management (PPPM) where she oversees day to day operations and management of several portfolios of hotels where she oversees a team of 75 people from housekeeping through general manager.
